Services:

I completed my birth doula training in July 2005 and am currently working toward certification through DONA International.

I am looking for clients who are due between Jan. 15 and Apr. 15, 2008 and who are giving birth in Mercer County or the surrounding areas.

For these clients, I will provide birth doula service free of charge, in exchange for the paperwork required for my certification.

Qualifications: DONA trained; working on DONA certification; physical therapist

Personal notes:

I am married and am the mother of four girls. My personal birth experiences include three hospital births and one home birth. All were midwife-attended and medication-free, and for the last one I had the support of a wonderful doula!

Regardless of my personal choices, however, I have seen that all types of births can be beautiful and satisfying, if the mother is informed of all of her options, is empowered to make her own choices, and is supported in those choices.
