Services:

2 pre-natal visits. Full attendence of labor and delivery.
I remain with you for 2 hours following birth, if you have chosen to breastfeed, I will help get you and baby started.
2 post-natal visits. the first at least 5 days after baby is born, during this time we will discuss your needs, light housework needed, chance for a shower etc. On the second visit, I will provide you with my written account of your labor and delivery, which will be yours to keep.

I have created a Maternaty Journal free for those who are 5 months or less into pregnancy.

And EVERY MOMMY gets a hand made baby afghan, also done by me.

Qualifications:

3 Years as a doula, Certified in 2007. I have attended five births with over 25 hours of labor experience. (One C-section) Breastfeeding assistance for each.
I have been told I have a calm, soothing and nurturing nature, and that I am good at what I do. I am also helpful and respectful to other family members attending your labor, but, mommy is priority!

Personal notes:

I am 38 years old, I have 2 children, my son soon to be 11, and my daughter 17. I have been married since I was 17, and it will be 21 years in 2008. (Now there's patients for you!) :)

I work in special education in a local school.  Have 2 Yorkies which I adore!

I wish I could deliver a baby a week! I just love being a doula! I can't wait for each mommy to call me to tell me "it's time" to come help her through labor. I strive to make both parents feel calm and comfortable through the entire experience.
