Agape Doulas offer labor support for women birthing in hospitals, birthing centers or home births. Our services include:
*Helping you understand the process of birth *Development and Implementation of Birth Plan *advocating for the mom *Massage and Accupressure; birth ball and positioning techniques *Training in Comfort and Coping techniques *Full access to your doula by phone or visit as needed during the agreed time *2 Pre-natal visits *Continuous labor support, emotional, physical, and practical during birth *A home visit after baby comes *Breastfeeding assistance *Referrals to lactation consultants, licensed massage therapists, counselors, and post-partum doulas *back up doulas

Personal notes:
My husband and I have seven children. I have been involved with birth and lactation assistance for many years, and am considering becoming a midwife. I am a teacher, artist and musician, and love being a doula! My mom was a labor coach in the 1970's-90's, when the name "doula" wasn't commonly used. She taught us to trust our bodies and the process of birth. My daugher, Rachael, and I both received our DONA training in December of 2005, and Rachael works as a maternity nurse. She, also is considering becoming a midwife. We love helping women and the connection we make with our moms and families! Blessings! Kelly
