Services:

My services include pre and postnatal meetings, unlimited phone contact, support throughout labor, including at your home and help with breastfeeding.

During labor I use various techniques such as massage and oils, heat packs, birth balls, position changes, tub and shower and informational support to help the mother.  I usually suggest ways the father can be of more assistance and allow him to get a needed break. 

Qualifications:

I have had three natural births. 

I have an advanced degree in education and background teaching all ages.  I have 14 years experience teaching natural childbirth classes and attending births.  I am certified through DONA and AAHCC.

Personal notes:

I am a busy mom of two teenagers and an elementary age child whom I homeschool.  Music, reading, study and crafts are some of my interests.  I enjoy teaching adults and also volunteer in my church with other ages.  

I really enjoy helping young families at this time in their lives.  I have been with couples to various hospitals around Southeast Michigan and am familiar with many care providers and hospital policies.  Throughout the years I have met many wonderful families and helped with a variety of different types of births.
